Whoa! I had totally forgotten about Some Velvet Morning! Ellen and I got obsessed with the Morvern Callor (sp?) soundtrack and listened to that many a time, but never saw the film.
sorry to keep posting, but I have to say: Some Velvet Morning really takes me back to a particular place and time. I can smell the dishwash detergent and feel the cobwebs on the hardwood floor and see the dim coziness of that whole year . . . just from thinking of that song. Remember, Ellen?
you could say that "Some Velvet Morning" opened up your gate...to nostalgia!
My most vivid memory of listening to that song was on the way to the Wests' house, driving in the rain, listening with you, Jamie.
